- Write your analysis of something in your chosen short story. This must be COMPLETE! No half-baked version or excuses like: "I didn't know how to end it." Do your best to say something noteworthy about the short story! Do NOT re-hash the plot! This is NOT a book review either! Analyze something you found interesting or noteworthy about the story. The outside sources SHOULD help you understand it and help you focus in on something to analyze about the story.
- REVIEW the assignment (for length) and the rubric.
- Bring ALL your materials to class.
- Bring in a hard copy (printed copy) of your analysis and save it in your GOOGLE Doc English folder.

- To help you find more resources about your short story, try this resource available on the CRHS Library home page under Database: You might need the code: COG
- http://www.iconn.org At school you will not need to enter a password. At home you may have to enter a valid library card number. iCONN provides all citizens of Connecticut with access to licensed, fee-based databases. It does so through state-sponsored funding. These databases include access to newspaper and magazine articles for research. Here are some of the databases available through iCONN in the order they may be of most use to you.
- Once you enter the iconn database, plug in a search that includes your story's title and the word "criticism." IF the article is long, skim it to determine if there is anything useful in it before you print it out. IF you PRINT it (for highlighting purposes) be sure to write down the URL address too!
