Authors use language in unique ways to express their ideas, but to fully understand the author, often times readers must occasionally use a dictionary to look up unknown words. Sometimes you might come across a word whose meanings you may not be able understand and you are able to figure out by the context of how it’s used in the sentence or paragraph. Other times, you might be so startled by a word that you really have no idea what it means; thus, understanding the author’s meaning is unclear and you become lost. This assignment will require finding “vocabulary-type” words in the text. Create a list of words you do not know or understand.
