- Now that you've decided which short story you will analyze, continue to gather analyses and criticisms. You might want to dig into some author biographical information; it might help you understand something about the story or the characters or the setting.
- Now READ the information you have gathered in order to determine how helpful it may be. Will its information "inform" your thinking about the text? Or inform your analysis or understanding of the text?
- If you have print copies, use high-lighters to make passages for possible use in your analysis.
- Come to Friday's class prepared to begin writing your research paper.
